The FilOz-Art Youth (youth arm of FilOz-Art) has created a musical theatre concert entitled, Wait for It, staged at the Rooty Hill RSL on the 10th of January, 2015. This project is as a result of a series of theatre workshops conducted by FilOz-Art to help develop and nurture young, talented actors/singers/dancers in the art of performing. I had the privilege to direct the musical aspect of the show and help young singers to enhance and cultivate their talents and potentials. The concert is about three things: youth, reality, change, and how they interplay from the perspective of young people. The show is a definitely a success as it has touched and made a significant impact to the audience based on the feedback that we have received. We’re very thankful.

Leonor Orosa Goquingco’s theatre piece, Her Son, Jose Rizal was staged in Sydney for four times from 2010 to 2012 showcasing the richness of the Filipino history and the flourishing love and passion of the Filipino community for theatre arts. It was a huge privilege to be a part of the second, third and fourth productions of this theatre masterpiece, and to play the role of Paciano, Jose Rizal’s older brother. My actor self is still in the rough but gaining some good amount of theatre wisdom really is something I value a lot.
